James Whitmore channels president Harry S. Truman in this one-man filmed play. He reminisces about war, visits with a former president and his wife, argues with subordinates, attacks Republicans, and tells a lot of jokes. It's all a bit awkward, especially when talking to other people who are not there or laughing at his own jokes, but still entertaining.
