The Glass Menagerie (1950)

Warner Bros.
Directed by Irving Rapper
My rating: 3 stars out of 4

Tennessee Williams' play suffers from a stage bound feel and stilted dialogue. Still, there are many great scenes on display here. My favorites occur when Kirk Douglas steps into their home: the candlelight conversation and dancing in Paradise.
