(DVD, 20th Century Fox)

A British Navy officer comes up with a scheme to distract the Nazis from Sicily, where they plan to launch an invasion of southern Europe. He wants to release a dead body with fake intelligence into the ocean near Spain and let it wash ashore where the Germans will find it. The first hour or so details their efforts to obtain a body and the details of making it look like an authentic British soldier traveling abroad. After it is found by the Germans, they send their own spy to London to see if he can uncover cracks in their carefully laid story. Solid film (based on a true story) with good period flavor and fine acting from British and American stars.
