Filmation's animated, musical adaptation of the familiar Robert Louis Stevenson story offers nothing new. It suffers from the usual dismal quality of the studio's other output, with rigid movement and a lack of style. However, a couple of the supporting characters manage to stand out, particularly a pirate with a harmonica permanently stuck in his throat and three pirates attached at the shoulders! The Monkees' Davy Jones voices Jim Hawkins and Richard Dawson is Long John Silver.
