Escaped convict Nora Nicholson runs a boarding house for ex-cons, mostly "little old ladies", who continue to shoplift at local stores and pickpocket visitors. One day one of her fellow escapees shows up and blackmails her. However, it turns out that Nicholson has actually laid a trap for her visitor and not all is what it seems. Tidy little thriller runs barely an hour. Originally a play, and it does not quite escape its stage origins.
