A narcissistic actor in a celebrity marriage loses his grip on reality. He is pushed over the edge when he meets the girlfriend of an admirer at the local video store. He thinks she will be able to return him to a normal life like he had with a former girlfriend before he become a celebrity, which she resembles. He begins to confuse the two, leading to a nervous breakdown and tragedy. Slow, dreamlike story reveals the rather obvious pitfalls of Hollywood celebrity, but can't seem to get out of its own way.
