Daughters of Satan (1972)

Directed by Hollingsworth Morse
My rating: 1.5 stars out of 4
IMDb
(Turner Classic Movies)

Tom Selleck, in what is essentially a warm-up for his Magnum PI role, here plays an art buyer in the Philippines. He buys an old painting depicting a witch burning, with one of the witches bearing a striking resemblance to his young wife Barra Grant. He hangs the painting in their home, and over time characters in the painting fade but appear in real life. At other times the painting comes to life, sort of like a television set to the past. Tom must decide if his wife is psycho or really a witch. Poor in every respect, though Barra does get whipped over spikes nearly naked.
