Two newspaper writers from Miami investigate a murder in a nearby small town. They conclude that the accused killer has been framed, but before they can publish the story things get out of control. Nicole Kidman falls in love with the killer, but so does the younger brother of one of the writers. The killer is released and convinces Kidman to go live in a shack in the swamp, little realizing what awaits. Smutty, grimy, sweltering, gory film with no boundaries at all; completely tasteless. It's hard to believe this is the same director that brought us Precious only one year earlier.
