Intrepid newspaper reporter Sally Field is intentionally leaked a story by an FBI investigator in an attempt to coerce someone to become a witness. Paul Newman is the innocent victim of the story who just happens to be related to some mob men possibly involved in murder. Newman is forced to extreme measures to clear his name, but can't resist getting a little revenge along the way. Smart, well-paced and beautifully shot on Miami locations, but Field is a lightweight and her role lacks conviction.
