The film begins with a teenage boy watching television with his mother, although she happens to be dead from a heroin overdose. He goes to live with grandma and his uncles, who operate as a gang of armed bank robbers. In their spare time they hang around taking drugs, dealing drugs and oh yeah killing police officers in cold blood. Teenager becomes the star witness for the police and goes into a witness protection program, but grandma has police connections and tries to have him killed. One of his uncles murders his girlfriend for no apparent reason. The normally quiet kid is driven to commit an act of revenge. Who can blame him? An exceptionally depressing film filled with pathetic characters. The director goes for a moody feel, but relies too much on slow motion and other cliches.
