Static production about a man in the early 1930s who travels back in time to the England of the late 1700s. He memorizes a diary and thus is able to tell the future of everyone he meets, which gets him branded a devil. However, he finds enough time to romance a couple of sisters, knowing full well in advance how it's going to turn out. The acting is stuck in the exaggerated silent style resulting in much fawning by the characters, and yawning by the viewer.
