The Alphabet Murders (1965)

MGM
Directed by Frank Tashlin
My rating: 3 stars out of 4
IMDb
(Turner Classic Movies)

Tony Randall is good as detective Hercule Poirot, a sort of Belgian version of Inspector Clouseau from the Pink Panther series. In fact, this film is also played more for comedy than drama or mystery, with a distinctly British slant to the humor. It's set in London, where Poirot investigates a series of murders being committed in alphabetical order. He's got Robert Morley as a companion, a bungling Scotland Yard chap. Anita Ekberg is his prime suspect.
