Sam Katzman/William Castle production has Dennis Morgan helping out the Cavalry against Indians in Wyoming. He is tasked to build some forts but the Indians resist. The new fast loading and powerful Springfield rifle comes to the rescue. A subplot involves the marital problems of Morgan's pal, who is an alcoholic. It's a cheap production, mixing loads of stock footage with new scenes filmed on the Columbia back lot in California. There is a buffalo hunt with graphic footage of buffalo being shot and skinned. Repulsive.
