Electra argues with the tyrant of a fictional society on the remote plains of Hungary. She tries to rally the people to her side, but instead is accused of murder and forced to marry a dwarf. When her brother Orestes arrives, she kills him, but he comes back to life. They take off together in a helicopter. Confusing, over-rehearsed, dated allegory consisting of a series of extremely long takes which are technically impressive but unnecessary to tell the story.
