A middle-aged retired actor runs a hotel in the Turkish countryside with his sister and wife. They spend most of their time sitting around and talking about their broken relationships, some occasional philosophy and the few tourists who stay during the long winter months. This goes on for about 2 hours where the most exciting thing that happens is a boy throws a rock at a window. When his wife has a meeting to raise money for local schools, they clash over her independence and we find out they have a strained marriage. He threatens to leave but ends up getting drunk at a neighbor's house. Meanwhile her attempt at a friendly gesture towards one of their tenants goes wrong. Long, contemplative, with occasional insights but mostly one of the most boring movie in years.
