Foxfire (1955)

Universal-International Pictures
Directed by Joseph Pevney
My rating: 1.5 stars out of 4
IMDb
(Encore)

Jane Russell has a whirlwind romance with half breed gold miner Jeff Chandler. He's the strong silent type while she is loud and bossy, not the best paired lovers to ever grace the screen. They get married the day after meeting and predictably the relationship gets stormy. Dan Duryea is the obnoxious town doctor and drunk waiting in the wings. Meanwhile, Chandler is trying to find gold in an abandoned mine using overworked Indians. Superficial melodrama with often unintentionally funny dialogue.
