30 Door Key (1991)

A writer just finishing his first novel is kidnapped by an old professor and brought to his former university. The students, including the writer, are all grown adults acting in inexplicably juvenile ways. At one point instead of fighting he has a contest with another student making faces. He is eventually taken out of the school to a country estate where he falls in love with a young girl. Seeing grown men, and grown actors, behaving in such ridiculous ways must have a point, but unless you lived in Poland circa the mid 1930s, it will be lost on most viewers, like myself. Misfire from the usually reliable Skolimowski.
