Biopic of Wisconsin/Michigan football sensation Elroy Hirsch, who broke numerous receiving and rushing records during his college career, and went on to play professionally for the LA Rams. Unfortunately Hirsch's athleticism does not translate to acting, and he proves to be a poor choice to play himself. I guess putting together highlights from various football games was a novelty in 1953, which is the only way to explain the editing Oscar nomination.
