Affair in Trinidad (1952)

Columbia Pictures
Directed by Vincent Sherman
My rating: 2.5 stars out of 4
IMDb
(DVD, Sony)

Glenn Ford's trip to Trinidad turns sour when his brother turns up dead. The police don't seem to be doing much about it, so Ford turns detective. The trail leads to his brother's ex-wife and some Nazis who are designing a rocket that will reach America. Rita Hayworth sings a couple of songs and does some dancing. However, the romance between her and Ford lacks chemistry, which is surprising given they had plenty to spare just 5 years earlier in Gilda.
