George Clooney plays a lawyer who specializes in helping high profile clients get out of embarrassing situations. When he is sent to bail out a friend and fellow lawyer, he becomes involved in a class action suit that could take down his firm and send their wealthiest clients to jail. The desperate company hires killers to take care of the troublesome lawyer and targets him when he gets too close to the truth. Clooney is well cast as the calm in the midst of a growing storm, outwitting not only those trying to kill him, but the power brokers who control them. Tom Wilkinson and Tilda Swinton have showy supporting roles.
