A swing band lands a job at the famous winter resort in Idaho. Their pianist, John Payne, falls for sultry singer Lynn Bari. His romance is interrupted by the arrival of Sonja Henie, whom he "adopts" as a refugee from Norway. Henie immediately sets her eyes on Payne as the man she is going to marry and does everything possible to get him. Incredibly, it works. The music is great, with Glenn Miller's band performing Chattanooga Choo Choo and impressive dance direction by Hermes Pan. However, it's not enough to overcome the juvenile romance between Henie and Payne.
