An independent filmmaker in Wisconsin tries to get his next project underway. He solicits talent in front of and behind the camera, consisting mostly of friends and neighbors, gets financing from an uncle, and has to overcome his own ineptitude. I would have sworn this was a mockumentary, the characters are just too perfect, but I suppose you can't make this stuff up. After a first half of adjusting to the reality of these characters, the second half tends to drag. Ultimately, I didn't care much if they got their film made or not, but I did like Uncle Bill.
