The annual meeting of the Nazi Party in Nuremberg is the subject of the ultimate propaganda film. Designed to convince any remaining Germans of the necessity of supporting Hitler, a deified figure worshiped by his followers, reviled by history as a madman and mass murderer. The camera angles are fascinating, the speeches hypnotic and the crowd shots electric. Today, it remains as a living document of the dangers of fascism, especially its early warning signs, all too obvious, yesterday and yes, even today, still relevant, perhaps even essential.
