Charlie Chan helps clear a wrongly convicted on death row for killing a guard during a bank robbery. He theorizes the fingerprints that convicted him were actually forgeries, and enlists a scientist to help prove it. The suspects are all conveniently living in the same guest house. Mantan Moreland and Benson Fong, as Birmingham Brown and Tommy Chan, provide comedy relief. Additionally, Moreland and Ben Carter perform a tired routine as brothers who complete each other's sentences, not once, not twice but three times!
