Frasier, the Sensuous Lion (1973)

Directed by Pat Shields
My rating: 1.5 stars out of 4
IMDb
(DVD, VCI Entertainment)

A timid zoologist leaves his teaching position, and mother, for a stay at a wildlife sanctuary. One of the old lions on the preserve begins talking to him telepathically. What is the topic of their conversation? The lion's love life, of course! A newspaper breaks the story and soon the whole country wants to know the secrets of an old lion and his "virility". Ridiculous story, with enough sexual innuendo to make it questionable for kids, but at least you get a look at a real wildlife sanctuary in Laguna Hills, California, and I did not see any animals abused or hurt. The title was changed to "Frasier, the Lovable Lion" for video to make it more marketable to kids.
